Steve Schiola, Principal at Cache La Poudre Elementary School in Fort Collins, CO and Marilyn St. Pierre, Principal of their adopted elementary school, Christ the King, sent numerous e-mails getting to know each other better as Steve's faculty gathered school supplies in the form of books, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, bulletin board materials, etc. to ship to New Orleans for their students.  Marilyn's school enrolled many students displaced by Katrina, both from private and public schools in an effort to "accommodate these families in crisis."

Steve reported that they sent 13 large boxes of supplies including Kleenex and paper towels in October to their adapted school/  He said that "One of the staff members asked her churches' chapter of the Knights of Columbus to help .... My office filled up with great stuff!"
