Part 1: Setting Up Your Partner Account

Maximize ROI With Partner Discounts

As a BenchmarkONE Partner, it’s a win-win. You get to offer an affordable sales and marketing platform to your clients while also maximizing your ROI with our partner discounts. When you start out you will receive:

  • 15% ongoing discount for every account you sign.
  • 20% ongoing discount when you reach 6 or more client accounts.

Attract New Clients with Your Demo Database

Your demo database is the perfect way to showcase BenchmarkONE as your agency’s sales and marketing platform to potential clients. With our co-branding option, your agency’s logo will be in front of clients every time they login to BenchmarkONE creating a seamless brand experience. You can think of your demo database as a mini version of BenchmarkONE:

  • Fully functional
  • Contact limit of 100
  • User limit of 20

If your agency focuses on a specific industry or market segment, we recommend setting up a fake industry-related business in your demo database. From there you can create custom fields, tags and lead sources that are highly relevant to your users giving a more hands-on first experience with all that BenchmarkONE has to offer.

Cobrand Your Account Through the Partner Portal

The partner portal is in the upper right hand corner of your demo database.

  • The Demo Database is the only place you can access your partner portal
  • Only database users with admin rights will see the portal when logged in

Your Partner Portal is your BenchmarkONE command center. From here you can:

  • Cobrand your account by uploading your favicon and logo
  • View all of your client accounts
  • Sign up new clients
  • Turn your email template library on and off.

Your Default Database

Your default database can save you serious time when setting up new clients. In this database, you’ll set up anything you’d like ALL of your new clients to have automatically. Once a new account is created, it will include anything that currently exists in your default database, including:

  • Tags
  • Custom fields
  • Email templates
  • Campaigns
  • Forms

The database is not retroactive so only new accounts will receive new assets you add. This account should strictly be used for duplication as it doesn’t function like a normal BenchmarkONE account.

Template Library Database

As a BenchmarkONE Partner, you have the ability to design and manage your own custom email template library for your clients. This is especially useful if you serve a niche and use the same templates for multiple clients.

  • **Creating your own email template library will override BenchmarkONE's default library of pre-designed email templates.**
  • Select “Yes” to create your own template library in your Partner Portal.

Any emails you create in your Template Library Database will populate the pre-designed email section of client BenchmarkONE accounts.

Signing New Client Accounts

Ready to sign up a new customer? In your Default Database, on the right sidebar in your partner portal, you’ll see the “New Account Button.”

Onboarding

With each new account, you'll need to decide whether you will provide training and onboarding or if you’d prefer a BenchmarkONE consultant to do so. If you’d prefer that your clients go through onboarding with BenchmarkONE, there will be a one-time $199 onboarding fee per customer.

Sign-up

When you sign up a new account, be sure to use YOUR name and email address but your CLIENT’S company name. This will make you the account owner, and allow you to activate each new  account. In addition it will ensure your invoices are properly-labeled for each client and see all of your client accounts displayed in your single sign-on drop down.

Part Two: Partner Best Practices

With BenchmarkONE, you can set up intelligent automations and processes that will ensure that you meet your goals and drive ongoing revenue for your clients. When it comes to campaigns, the sky's the limit, but there are a few must-have strategies you should keep in your tool belt.

The Power of Campaigns

A campaign is a series of automations that can trigger automatically, like:

  • Sending an email
  • Adding a tag
  • Updating a contact status
  • Assigning a contact a lead source
  • Creating a task for a sales rep
  • Sending a notification to a user
  • Starting a campaign
  • and more!

With BenchmarkONE’s campaigns, you can set up a traditional email drip campaign, a simple autoresponder, or a more complex workflow. Let’s dig into a few simple scenarios and you’ll be off and running with campaigns in no time.

Nurturing Contacts

A contact nurture campaign keeps new contacts engaged and helps them move down the path from “brand aware” to “ready to buy” by sending a series of emails over time.

Here's an example nurture campaign for Gulliver's Travel Agency:

Campaigns can also help transition contacts from marketing to sales, and ensure that hot opportunities turn into new customers.

Event-Based Campaigns

Event campaigns send emails around a specific event date. It’s perfect for triggering time-sensitive emails around events like:

  • Webinars
  • Tradeshows
  • Renewal dates
  • Birthdays

Here's an example from Gulliver's Travel Agency's Webinar:

Tag Rules

Tag Rules can help dynamically segment your contacts and help sales reps connect with your hottest prospects.

Intelligent Tag Rules allow you to:

  • Create a task for a sales rep to follow-up with a special offer
  • Update a contact status
  • Start a specific campaign
  • And more!
